After Earth and Moon, Google lands on Mars and in future will be Mercury, Venus and Jupiter

Google Mars is launched on the occasion of the 151st birth anniversary of Percival Lowell, the astronomer who mapped and studied Mars in the 19th century (1895), and was the result of many years spent carefully studying the Red Planet through his telescope.

Now you can do the same through your web browser. In collaboration with NASA researchers at Arizona State University, Google created some of the most detailed scientific maps of Mars ever made.

Google, after launching Google Earth (
earth.google.com ), the three-dimensional, satellite-based mapping service, which allowed users to explore any place on earth, has also come out with Google Moon (moon.google.com), showing locations of all six Apollo moon landings.

Google has now plans to create similar sites for other major planets for which information is available. It has obtained domain names like Google Mercury, Google Venus and Google Jupiter.
